When the rescue team arrived, they found the pitbull hiding in a makeshift den deep in the thick brush. Eldad Hagar, a volunteer from the association, had to crawl to find her and her newborn puppies.

He knew that it would be imperative to gain the Pitbull's trust before he could begin to take her puppies to a safer place, so he took his time to comfort and pet their scared mom.Slowly, she began to relax and Hagar moved the first puppy, who was beginning to suffocate, from the dusty den.

However, due to the torrential storm, the power had gone out, forcing volunteers to carry out their crucial work by flashlight. After their arrival at the shelter, the 9 dogs were given new names. Their mom was baptized Rainbow andher impressive eight puppies: Thunder, Breezy, Misty, Raindrop, Flash, Bolt, Stormy, and Droplet.

Amazingly, the little family was in perfect health, despite their unconventional start in life.Only six weeks later, the puppies were old and strong enough to be adopted, and thanks to the impressive work of these volunteers, they have now all moved on to forever homes where they can start their long and happy lives.
