Parrot Is The King Of This Office And Employees Bow Down To Him

By

Ever since the petsitting agency, Holidog, based in Paris, adopted the cockatoo, Hector Bonaparte, two years ago, things in the office haven't been the same. Because Hector isn't just any bird. The moment he realized he was living in an office, he took it upon himself to make sure that all employees work hard and take their tasks seriously.

Today the three-year-old Hector has become the unquestionable ruler of the office, overseeing his empire from the top of the kitchen cupboard.  His loyal followers have even dedicated an Instagram account to him.

Hector usually spends his days flying from desk to desk and getting cuddles from the pet-loving employees. He is a just ruler, however, he always makes sure that none of his people disrespect him. One of the Holidog employees spoke with the Holidog Times:

Well, sometimes I really hate him. But at the same time I just love him. I don't know why, but I can never be angry at him for long.

The cockatoo likes to test his public's vigilance by stealing their things and waddling over their desks, picking out keys from their keyboards. Affectionately nicknamed "HecTerror" by what he most certainly considers his "servants," the bird knows every corner of the office and how things have to be run in the company. Another employee confesses:

Sometimes you would think he's a three-year-old that flies around and has a pair of pincers instead of a mouth. But I think that's all part of the act!

There is no arguing that the cockatoo's presence makes the Holidog office a special place. He has recently even started communicating with his servants to make sure they better understand his demands. Holidog's IT specialist confirms:

It took me a little more than one year to teach Hector to say "banana". I started in July 2015, and I heard him say it first last August, I think. He loves bananas!

Hector loves the space he has in the office and only occasionally flies outside, just to emphasize that someone has recklessly left the window open. Besides, this also gives him a chance to chase away the pigeons in the streets of Paris that threaten his realm. This deed is greatly appreciated by his subjects who couldn't imagine working without him anymore.A few employees told The Holidog Times about their fondest memories with the king of the office:

The memories about working with Hector are unforgettable. My workplace was in the middle of the open space room so Hector was regularly flying above my head to the kitchen shelf and he occasionally stopped his flying route on my computer screen. Once in a while he would poop directly on my keyboard. I shouted at him, and told him that 'he is a bad parrot.' So what did he do? Of course he pooped on my keyboard a second time right away and shortly after for the third time.

Hector has mastered the art of getting respect from his people and knows how to make everybody give their best. Like his vice-regent at the office, Florian, correctly explained:

Hector doesn't have friends, he only has servants. But that doesn't mean that he is a bad person. He is often misunderstood.

You'd be barking mad to think we were going to be the friends. #notabelieverinagoldenretrieverEin von Hector Bonaparte (@hector_bonaparte) gepostetes Foto am 18. Jan 2017 um 9:18 Uhr
