Last April, a starving and sick Boxer was taken in by the French animal rescue, Fondation 30 Millions d'Amis in Lens, France.

The 10-year-old dog, named "Chef," was ignored by his owner, and suffered from severe malnutrition. He was nothing but skin and bones, which wasn't his only health problem. He also had mange around his ears and arthritis.The anger reached its peak when the owner admitted that he hadn't taken Chef to the veterinarian in all 10 years to to help with his issues.

Now, in the experienced hands of 30 Millions d'Amis, Chef is slowly recovering, and can finally eat his fill and express his loving personality. Sophie, an investigator for the association, explained in a statement:
Chef throws himself on the food bowls we give him several times a day. He devours it in seconds. Chef is such a teddy bear. He is so sweet and loves cuddles.
The Fondation 30 Millions d'Amis filed charges for neglect, and a criminal charge of animal cruelty.
