At the start of March, Leong Khai Wai, a young man from a small village in Malaysia, sadly lost his grandmother.When he, along with the rest of her family and friends, came together to celebrate her life, Leong never expected to find a surprise four-pawed guest, reports The Dodo.

His grandmother's dog, Bobby, took it upon himself to accompany his human on her last journey. As the funeral procession made its way to the cemetary, Leong noticed the small dog, running behind the cars.

When they arrived, the dog laid himself down next to where his human would be laid to rest, and refused to move. The canine's incredible devotion touched all of the guests and Leong Khai Wai described to The Dodo:
They said it was the first time they'd ever seen such extreme loyalty in a dog.

Luckily, Bobby won't be alone, Leong's great uncle and grandfather have decided to take him in, and take care of the brave canine.There are countless examples of dogs showing unwavering faithfulness to their humans, and Bobby's story shows how powerful the bond between man and dog can be.
