Climbing a mountain is hard enough. Let alone climbing a mountain with a blind cat!Butthat is exactly what this animal-lover did on April 26 of this year when he arrived at Carrauntoohil, the highest mountainin Ireland, located in County Kerry.Patrick Corr adopted Stevie, his blind cat, from The Cat Hospital in Cork four years ago.
He decided to undertake the journey up the 3406ft peak with his beloved feline and his twin brother Eoghan.Due to poor weather conditions, they had to camp for the night with Stevie. The adorable kitty had a safe place to stay in the tent.
This time, however, their climb was sponsored. Corr and Stevie managed to raise over 1000 euros for The Cork Animal Care Society and the Tipperary Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animalsin Ireland.Corr says that since Stevie herself is a rescue cat from a local shelter, "I wanted to give something back to the people who make it their life's work to save animals in need just like Stevie."Enjoy the incredible video of Stevie's journey.
