Grizzly, a 6 month old pig, and Apollo, a 2-year-old Pit Bull, are an inseparable duo who decided to go out on a morning stroll together at the beginning of September. They seized their chance to escape one morning when they noticed the door to their home in Fontana, California was open, reports The Dodo.

Apollo and Grizzly had an absolute field day, running down the streets together, to the amused surprise off passers-by. Eventually, one concerned citizen called the police, who immediately went to arrest the pair.When the officers found the 2 friends, they tried to stop their fun by calling them over. The obedient pooch came over at once, but the little pig wasn't ready to go home quite yet. After a breathless chase around a front lawn, he was finally apprehended and taken to the police station, to face the full force of the law.

Happily, since Apollo had a microchip, the police could reunite the troublesome pair with their human, Michelle Aviña, who was understandably very worried when she discovered her pets were missing.But once they were back home, Michelle recovered enough from the episode to laugh about the incredible friendship the two have with each other:
They eat together, sleep together, dig holes together. Wherever Apollo goes, Grizzly is right behind him.

Although their little adventure was cut short, from now on Michelle and her family will be keeping a closer eye on them, in case they fancy another morning walk. Despite that, Michelle still loves the amazing bond between her pets:
Who would ever think, right? A 'vicious' pit bull and a pig. But they're best buds.
