These 15 Kittens Were Just Abandoned In A Suitcase On The Side Of The Road

At the beginning of April, a veterinary nurse was on her way to work in Dagenham, England, when she noticed a suitcase that had been abandoned on the road close to her house. Several holes had been pierced in the sides, which raised her curiosity. She opened it and discovered, to her stupor, 15 new born kittens.

The babies, only four or fife weeks old, were probably abandoned by a breeder who no longer had the room for them, and decided to get rid of them instead of assuring their safety.

Thanks to the nurse, the 15 kittens, all in good health, were taken in to the shelter,Cats Protection Hornchurch & District Branch, where they are being cared for until they're big and strong enough to be adopted. A member of the shelter explained to The Dodo:

The kittens are doing well. Five are being bottled fed, as they are too young to be away from their mums. The other 10 are all good so far.

Since the announcement of the kittens' discovery, numerous people have already declared their intent to adopt one or more of them. While their life had a rough start because of an thoughtless person, no doubt that they will quickly find a home which will offer them all the love and attention they need at such a young age.If you live in England, you can visit the RSPCA, and if you live in the United States, you can visit the ASPCA to get more information about pets available for adoption.Tens of thousands of dogs and cats end up in shelters each year, either due to neglect, abuse or abandonment. Consider adopting before you shop, and visit your local shelters before going to a breeder. Every dog and cat deserves a fair chance at a forever home.
