Degenerative myelopathy is most common in senior dogs and degrades nerve tissue. Animals suffering from this disease suffer from weakened hind legs, difficulty standing up or even paralysis.There is currently no treatment for this genetic disease. Dogs affected can develop mobility and incontinence issues, and while it is not painful, it is very important that pet owners give all the attention and care needed to ensure that their dog has the highest possible quality of life.5. Brachycephalic Syndrome
