Indeed, what happens to millions of these chicks each year is not something you were probably aware of. But thanks to the investigators at Animal Equality, you can see what it's really like to be a baby chick in this world. From the day these chicks hatch out, their life is a complete nightmare. Whether they are disposed of on day one, or bred in deplorable conditions until they are forty days old, their lives are full of suffering.

There was not the slightest sign of compassion for them, only disregard toward their lives.

Minutes after the chicks hatch, they are thrown in their thousands onto the belt that separates them from the shell. The weak ones and "non-desirables" are thrown aliveinto a giant container, where they are then brutally crushed to death amidst all the egg shells.

The ones who make it through the sorting process are then trucked off to fattening farms where they are forced to grow unnaturally and then sent to the slaughterhouse.Since they shared the footage at the end of last year, the video has now been viewed almost15 millions times.Find outwhat is really going on in the chicken meat industry here:Warning: Graphic Content
