His previous owners brought him in to theLexington Humane Society(LHS) at only 7 months old, because he has a disease calledparvovirus, reports The Dodo.Emily Tolliver, digital communications coordinator at the LHS, said:

Fortunately, Lexington Humane Society has an excellent parvo survival rate, so Gates was in good hands.

He was examined and turned out very healthy and happy, thanks to the medical team at the shelter.

But his real trademark is his nose. Gates has an adorable nose that is split right into two, down the middle, making it look like he has two noses. Tolliver continued:

It gives the impression of having two noses, but it's actually just one! He has two nostrils and everything functions just as it should.

Gates does not even know that he is different to other puppies. He runs, plays, loved food and gives love to everyone he meets. That is why he had no problem finding his forever family. The LHS confirmed on January 14 that Gates has been adopted intoa loving home.Tolliver gushed about Gates' great personality:

He is a very sweet and playful boy. He loves, loves, loves to cuddle and get lots of attention.

Despite a little difference in physical appearance or behavior, all dogs deserve love, attention and a good home.If you live in England, you can visit the RSPCA, and if you live in the United States, you can visit the ASPCA to get more information about pets available for adoption.Tens of thousands of dogs and cats end up in shelters each year, either due to neglect, abuse or abandonment. Consider adopting before you shop, and visit your local shelters before going to a breeder. Every dog and cat deserves a fair chance at a forever home.
