Here are three young Pit bulls who have come a long way.
Their previous owner from Washington, USA, never gave them any love. They were cruelly neglected, mistreated and ended up very ill.Last April, the three puppies named Chase, Haagen Dazs and Klondike were taken away while their owner was prosecuted for cruelty against animals.

Lisa LaFontaine, CEO of Washinton Humane Society/Washington Animal Rescue League, the association that took care of the three puppies, told the local press:
By the age of four months, Chase and his two siblings had experienced more suffering than any living being should be subjected to in a lifetime. Cruelty to animals in any form can never be tolerated and the people of our community should know that we will relentlessly pursue those that commit these crimes.

During their treatment, the three puppies were all suffering from mange, among other illnesses.
Chase was in a worse condition than the other two puppies. The poor pooch had lost almost his entire coat. His state of health was extremely worrying: severe skin infection, dehydration, anaemia, hypoglycemia...
He could hardly even walk on his own and the veterinarians weren't sure if he would survive.

Luckily, thanks to very intense medial treatment - including multiple blood transfusions - as well as the loving care of the medical team, Chase managed to get back on his feet, literally.

At the end of April, after 12 days in hospital, Chase was ready to find his forever home that would be able to take on this difficult case.

After another two months in expert hands, Chase's story went viral in the American media and requests for adoption started pouring in...
And unsurprisingly, Chase quickly found a loving home and the life he always deserved. Today he is around eight months old and the little Pit bull is finally taking it easy...
