Jimmy, The Orphaned Kangaroo Who Follows His Adoptive Dad Everywhere

Chris "Brolga" Barnes runs The Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs, Australia, where he rescues orphaned baby kangaroos. At the end of January, he found a baby kangaroo who had been left orphaned when his mum tragically got hit by a car on the road. Brolga took the baby kangaroo in and nursed him back to health. He gave him the name Jimmy.

G'day, I'm Jimmy. What are you doing today? I will drink my baby kangaroo milk, have lots of sleeps, and go on our sunset tour tonight. Happy Friday ❤️Posted by The Kangaroo Sanctuary Alice Springs on Thursday, 3 March 2016

Since his rescue, Jimmy has relied heavily on his adoptive 'mum'Brolgato feed him and make him little pouches where hefeels safe. He now follows him around everywhere, never a hop away from Brolga's feet.

As Jimmy is still young and needs mothering, he often has to balance on Brolga to support himself.

Andwhen it's time for some milk, the baby kangaroo knows he's about to get fed and won't leave his Dad alone!
