He Climbed Up To The 13th Floor Of A Building To Rescue A Dog Dangling Off The Balcony

Some people willdo anything to save an animal.But not everyone would risk their life in doing so.In this viral video posted on April 19, a young Colombia man,Diego Andrés Dàvila Jimenez, risked his life when he climbed up to a balcony on the 13th floor of an apartment building to save a dog called Luna.

In the Colombian capital of Bogota, Diego looked up and noticed a dog who had slippedbetween the railsof a balconyand was dangling for her life. It turned out it was his neighbor's dog who lived in the apartment next door.Diego toldThe Dodo :

I hurried to tell my neighbor, but she wasn't home.

So the young Colombian decided to take action himself. Unable to access the balcony from his apartment, Diego did the unthinkable and climbed up the building to go and save the dog whose life was in imminent danger.He continued:

The truth is, I did not think about the dire consequences. I did not look down.

A crowd had gathered below to watch the touch-and-go scene unfold, and neighbors filmed the rescue.Finally, Diego managed to reach the 13th floor and rescue the dog who was in a severe state of distress.

"When I had Luna in my hands and looked down, a thousand thoughts flew through my mind," said Jimenez. "My girlfriend was a little upset, yelling at me, 'You stay there! Do not climb back down!'", explainedDiego.When she heard about the young man's heroicact of kindness, Luna's human burst out crying. "She was in tears.
