For Nate, the elderly and disabled terrier, things weren't looking up. Thankfully, he had been rescued from his previous owner, who had hoarded 22 dogs.But given his birth defects which apparently made him walk like a "hyena" along with his barrel chest, no one wanted to adopt him. Poor Nate was at the LuvFurMutts shelter in Fairfield for over nine months, with people constantly rejecting him everyday.

In a post on Facebook, the rescue centre said:
Why could they not see what we saw in him? A handsome, charming, sweet and normal little boy. The lowest point came when an adopter cried when she met him and said she would be depressed the rest of her life if she had to look at him every day.
Well you know how they say 'you have to hit rock bottom before you can rise up'? Nate had hit his rock bottom, and had no idea how high up he would go...

Indeed, A-list actor George Clooney and his attorney wife, Amal, had beenfollowing Nate's videos online. They had completely fallen in love with him and decided to adopt him for George's parents, Nick and Nina, who had recently lost their terrier of 10 years.On Christmas Eve,Nick and Nina were utterly thrilled to welcome Nate into their home, with Nick adding how he felt:
I guess it sounds like he gets around just as good as we do anymore.

Our Nate is loved and in his forever home and will be spoiled to death for the rest of his life. From fighting to get food in his belly each day to being the only fur baby of two of the most wonderful people in Augusta, Kentucky.
