A close call for one poor pup at a South Carolina hotel has many calling the hotel manager a hero.A man was staying at the Roadway Inn in Greenville with his dog, Boo Boo as reported by the Daily Mail. As he was heading up to his room, he got in the elevator and did not realize his poor pooch hadn't made it in before the doors closed.

Ben Duke, the hotel manager, had been walking out of a storage room when he witnessed what happened. He saw the dog being slowly lifted up by the elevator and he jumped in to action.He described what he did next to WYFF4:
I just grabbed it, and struggled with it, then I guess adrenaline set in or something, and I snapped the leash right above my hand.

Boo Boo was understandably frightened by the whole incident, and actually started lashing out at Duke, but one person who was more than thankful for the quick actions of the hotel manager was the dog's owner.
He was crying and was so grateful. He just came up and hugged me. It was pretty crazy.
The whole thing was caught on security camera. Duke posted it to his Facebook page where it was viewed over 10,000 times, but has now been taken down.Despite the praise from thousands of strangers, the good Samaritan does not see himself as a hero.
