The head of our local police office has called the circus. They told him that the animal didn't belong to them and that lots of circuses with llamas were currently touring in the city.
The llama has been examined by a vet, but no microchip was found. The cause of death hasn't yet been established. Two months ago, the UK government pledged to ban animals from circus acts by 2020.If you would like to contribute to helping circus animals escape this life of misery, you can donate to organizations like Performing Animal Welfare Society, who work to offer exploited, wild animals better living conditions.
