At the beginning of the month of February, the organization Hope for Paws, based in Los Angeles, received a call informing them of the presence of an injured dog in the street, reports The Dodo.The animal, a female Pitbull, had just been hit by a car, but refused to let anyone approach her and hid under another vehicle, seriously injured.

The organization quickly sent over several volunteers to the scene, but they already knew that recovering the dog would be a long process. The rescuers first tried to approach her with a leash to pull her out of her hiding spot, but Jezebel started growling, terrified.

The volunteers then tried moving further away, to try and gain her trust, and after several long minutes, Jezebel finally came out from hiding. Eldad Hagar, the founder of Hope for Paws, tried to pet the dog, but she was still terrified and wouldn't stop growling.
Rescuers decided to place her in a cage, to get her to a veterinary clinic as quickly as possible.

Luckily, the poor animal didn't suffer any broken bones, just large bruises. Once at the clinic, Jezebel finally started to calm down, feeling safe. She even started to rub up against Eldad, who she was afraid of just a few moments before.

Jezebel is waiting for her forever home. No doubt the adorable dog will quickly find what she's looking for.
