Adorable Baby Cow and Giant Tortoise Won't Let Each Other Go

Leonardo, an African spurred tortoise, arrived at the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand in 2013 after escaping a life of hell in a zoo in Bangkok, reports The Dodo.

Leonardo quickly took to his new life of freedom in the sanctuary. But in 2016, thingstook an even better turn upon the arrival of Simon, a calf whose back hoof had been amputated. He was rescued by the WFFT and given a prosthetic, and can now movearound normally.

Simon was supposed to join the rest of the sanctuary'sbovines, but the animal had other plans. When he saw Leonardo, a spark of friendship immediately flew between the tortoise and the little cow, who hasn't left him since.

Nobody was more surprised than the team at the sanctuary, who posted on their Facebook page:

They are often seen following each other around, sharing meals and resting together. We hope this unusual friendship continues to flourish.
