The young man didn't hesitate to get a little dirty and climbed into the bin to pull out the seven frozen babies, before wrapping them in his vest to protect them from the cold.Scott contacted the organization Every Dog Counts Rescueto get them a foster family as soon as possible. Thankfully, the pups quickly found a new home, where they are finally safe. The association didn't forget the amazing gesture by the warm-hearted police officer and posted on their Facebook.
It is freezing and sleeting in Indy tonight. So to work with no coat, you'd have to be crazy... or crazy kind....Published by Every Dog Counts Rescue on Saturday December 17, 2016
Without the intervention of Scott, the puppies would never have survived, much too weak to have affronted the glacial winter temperature. All the babies are doing extremely well. They will be put up for adoption as soon as they're old enough to leave their foster home, in the month of February.
