Aside from their diet, your pet's health also depends on the care you give them. Make sure they have seen the vet recently and are up-to-date on all their vaccinations.We can't tell you enough. Animals often hide their health problems, even when they're at their worst. Whilst it is principally their diet which affects their gorgeous coat of fur, you can also make an effort to brush them by hand in 2016! And they'll love you for it, it's like a massage for them.Brushing them regularly means that they will also shed less, so there goes that sofa covered in white dog hairs!

When you've been with your dog for a long time, it's inevitable that you start to pay them a little less attention. Just like being in a couple or a family, the constant presence of another being means you start to be a little less attentive and affectionate.So in the New Year, remember just how important your pet is to you, and how happy you are to have them in your life.So show them a bit more love and attention and it will go a long away. Sadly our furry companions aren't with us for decades so show them how much you love them whilst you can!

So how about having a real good cuddle session with your pet to remind them how much you love them. Stroking them and having an affectionate cuddle with them are without doubt our favourite moments we share with our pets. And they are theirs too! So here's to more cuddles. Of course, our pets love spending time with their humans. But sometimes they do need to spend a bit of time with their fellow breed. So to make sure they have a good social balance, give them the chance to meet other cats and dogs when they can. Dogs, particularly, love playing around with each other.
